JOB REQUIREMENTS

Position Title: Java Developer

Work Location: Hybrid – on‑site office attendance required

Remote Policy: Remote work not permitted

Duration: 12‑month contract

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION

• Hands‑on coding, design, and testing within a high‑performance eTrading platform.
• Development of changes including: ECN connectivity, Pricing, RFQ processing, Straight‑Through Processing (STP)
• Work on low‑latency, high‑capacity, high‑performance system components such as: Messaging layers, Data caching, Data structure management, Concurrency handling

This is a hands‑on developer role, not a managerial or analyst position.

CANDIDATE MUST‑HAVE SKILLS

Programming Languages

• Server‑side Java, and/or C++, Python

Messaging Technologies

• Solace OR Kafka OR Aeron OR MQ

SQL / Database Skills

• Strong proficiency with SQL (MS SQL, Oracle)
• Ability to work with advanced SQL concepts such as: CTEs, Query plans, Indexing, Troubleshooting complex queries

DevOps Experience

• Jenkins, GitHub Actions, UrbanCode

Environmental Fit

• Experienced working in highly regulated, process‑heavy, or compliance‑driven environments.
• Able to handle fast‑paced, structured workflows with heavy operational oversight.

NICE TO HAVE

• Familiarity with AWS services (S3, SQS, SSM, KMS, etc.)
• 2+ years of experience in application development within Front‑Office:
• Fixed Income, Equities, FX
• Spanish language ability
